We're on the way!

No photo's today, just lots of miles. We made 770 miles.... ended up in Sioux City, Iowa. Temps are perfect! Hovered around 80 all day long. Saw lots of flooded farm fields through Missouri & Iowa, farmers are going to be hurting this year. Crops are turning yellow in all of the standing water. Today we should make somwhere around the same mileage, hopefully that will get us somewhere around 200 miles west of Winnipeg, that will put us into Calgary Sunday evening if we can keep this up.

Pulled into the first hotel last night, we wanted a room in a place that had a lounge so we could get food & drink without running around... first one, the hotel part was closed, so food & drink, but no room. Next we checked into one that had everything, sign said Prime Rib BUffet on Friday nights..... After we checked in, we founf out the restaurant closed 30 minutes earlier becasue of the holiday.. So, room & drink, but no food..... On the way out the door, bumped into a pizza delivery guy, got the phone number from him, called from the front desk, but they stopped delivering 19 minutes earlier because of the holiday...... It was an evening of "Can'ts"
