Day 3!

Yesterday was gruelling.... long & hot. Speed limit through the Dakota's was 75, so we made good time. When we got to Canada, the spped limit is only 100kmh, about 62... max.... and it's a long way across Canada. Almost got caught in a thunderstorm. We could see it coming. with loads of lightning, but there is __NOTHING__ on the road.. no overpasses, no gas stops, nothing. Luckily, we came across a picnic shelter on the side of the road. Mike pulled in & drove up under the shelter. The raid hit just as we pulled under... And it was a good heavy downpour... sat & waited it out.

We're in Medicine Hat, Alberta tonight, just short of making Calgary. Today was pretty boring, the road was long & straight. Cold in the morning, only around 60 deg, froze until lunch, then it got hot..... not much else to say for today, lots of nothing but farm fields.... This is definitely the nations breadbasket...

Up early tomorrow, & off to Calgary, then up through Banff.
