Mike & I are getting ready for the trip of a lifetime! We're a couple of very lucky guys.. Our ladies let us get on the motorcycles every summer & take a long trip. That doesn't happen very often.
I'm not much of a writer, but I am a photographer. I'm just not certain how I'll be able to get photo's uploaded from the road. Being on a bike, there's not much room for anything. Mike's taking his laptop, and we'll probably be able to get some inernet connections along the way, but might not be able to get much highspeed to be able to upload more than text.
My bike is finally ready to go. The dealer found the intermittent alectrical problem I've had for the last year on Monday, it's fixed!! Mike's bike is in the shop this week getting a few things done to get rady for the trip.
I bought a new camera just for this trip... Got a Canon G9. I wanted something as small as possinble, durable, and with some features that would make it useful. The G9 seems like a really good piece of equipment for the size. Well built, right features.... And all of the rviews are absolutely glowing. So we'll see.... I've been a Nikon shooter for a lot of years now (40 or so), but Canon seems to have the best small camera's out.
